So a new week and plenty more news about the apple iphone 12 we've got leaked photos of the rear of the iphone 12 a new hands-on video for the 12 pro that gives us a shocking new discovery we've got more confirmation on the color choices available before we get started though please like the video if you're a fan of apple let me know in the comments what version of the iphone 12 that you're looking forward to the most but first up we've got more details on colour variants from mark german and debbie wu we had a tweet last week from apple hub showing us what color variants we should be seeing on the iphone 12 and it seems both of them agree a new report was issued from bloomberg and it states that the pro models of the apple iphone 12 are going to be coming in a new dark blue color option and this will of course be replacing the midnight green we saw in its predecessor we also have a new report from digitimes confirming that a lidar sensor will be present on the iphone 12 pro max they've stated that lidar is expected to be increasingly adopted for consumer electronic applications during the coming years this is also driven by the fact that apple will allegedly be incorporating the technology into the new iphone models to further back this up we also have a new tweet from mr white and he shows us the rear glass for both the iphone 12 pro and the iphone 12 pro max what we expected both would be coming with a lidar sensor if this leak is correct then it shows it won't be happening the left device is of course the 6.7 inch iphone 12 pro max and we can see holes for three cameras as well as an additional cutout below for the lidar sensor on the 6.1 inch iphone 12 pro this is actually absent from the rear glass this is very unexpected and while still unconfirmed the next leak we have actually backs this up further the next leak is a hands-on video of the apple iphone 12 pro from all angles that they're showing us the front the rear along with a working display now many claim that this is actually its predecessor but it definitely isn't as we can see the flat edge design with slight curves towards the display now it is claimed that this is a pre-production model of the apple iphone 12 pro we can see from the back we again only have three cameras and the lidar sensor is missing well this could be confirmation of no lidar sensor on the iphone 12 pro i personally don't think that it is mr white has provided a few bits of info now so he is looking more and more trustworthy but this hands-on video i'm 99 sure that it's a fake well it could be real the low quality video along with lack of detail or info surrounding the sourcing it just makes me think that it's a dummy made with a working display i've actually managed to obtain some dummies from an industry insider that supposedly are 100 correct but i'm just waiting for them to arrive and as soon as they do i'll be creating a video around them but we have to be careful at this time and now that we've got so much leaked information available there's going to be a lot of fake images and videos coming forward in the next few weeks we also have a final piece of bad news from trend force and they claim that despite a series of controversial cuts the apple iphone 12 is still going to see a price increase and it could be up to a hundred and fifty dollars more which is much more than we expected with no info to back this up i'm going to take this with a grain of salt for now but if we do hear anything i'll update you guys straight away we expect the launch of the iphone 12 to now be held in october although john prosser has also told us of an event on apple's website for tuesday the 8th of september as soon as we get more info on this i'll of course post an update straight away but if anyone wants more details on the apple iphone 12 models we're gonna run through what we believe is going to be coming for my regular viewers you guys have seen this already so just jump to the next video but in the unlikely event you're new here then hit subscribe now and we're gonna get right into it to start with we've got the entry-level model of the apple iphone 12 and this is just going to be called the iphone 12.
it's a 5.4 inch iphone with an oled super retina display from samsung it's important to note straight off the bat that super retina means absolutely nothing so don't get too caught up on that but nonetheless it's going to be an oled display with a resolution of 2340 by 1080 and this gives us 475 pixels per inch and it's got an 8-bit color depth well there have been rumors of all models having 120 hertz
